Your Total Foot Care Specialist and Dr. James M. Jacobs & Associates are excited to host our first shoe drive to benefit vulnerable children here in Katy, Texas, and around the world! Beginning August 10th, we will be accepting new shoes at our two office locations and multiple drop-off locations throughout Katy, Tx. We believe children are our future and want to play a role in giving vulnerable children a good foundation with new shoes for better health and education. We have partnered with Buckner International which for the last 16 years has distributed over 3 million shoes locally and worldwide. Check them out at http://shoesfororphansouls.org/.
We often take for granted our feet and shoes and forget that many people can’t afford a good pair of shoes. But GOOD shoes make a BIG difference! There is a need for children in Katy, Tx and worldwide who are living in poverty and don’t have a new pair of shoes to start the school year. Lack of good footwear puts children at a higher risk for foot-related injuries and contracting life-threatening diseases because they have to walk barefoot. Here at home and around the world, shoes are required for school which affects children living in poverty and who can’t afford shoes. Giving vulnerable children a new pair of shoes can provide better health, education, and a tangible expression of love and hope.
The shoe drive will begin on August 10th and will continue until September 15, 2015. While you’re out and about shopping for back-to-school, pick up a pair of shoes to bless a child here in Katy, Tx, and worldwide! There are many BOGO events during this shopping season so please take advantage to provide for those less fortunate. You can drop the shoes off at any of our Katy, TX drop-off locations. A complete list of our locations are listed below. We are only accepting brand new shoes for children ages 2-18 years old. If you would like more information or have any questions about the shoe drive you can contact us at our office at 281-395-FEET (3338).
